Primary
Primary classes are for students in 2nd-4th grade. Primary students can pick from seven different dance styles: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Celtic, Lyrical, Dance Conditioning and Hip Hop.
They are also able to add on Acrobatics or Contortion. To see info about these classes click here.
Ballet
Ballet is the foundation of all dance! It is essential in learning proper dance technique and form and we recommend that all new dancers take ballet. Dancers in Primary Ballet are also required to take one additional class.
Tap
Tap dance is a very musical form of dance in which the dancer taps out rhythms and intricate beats with their feet. Tap dancers are like percussionists with their tap shoes, drumming the floor with combinations of tap steps.
Jazz
Jazz is an upbeat and high energy style of dance taught and performed to jazz or popular dance music. Isolations, stylized steps, big jumps and turns are all a part of jazz dance. In order to take this class the dancer must also be enrolled in Ballet.
Celtic
Celtic, famously known as Riverdance, originated in Ireland in the 18th century. This style is fast, fun, and always a crowd pleaser! In order to take this class the dancer must also be enrolled in Tap.
Lyrical
Lyrical is a blend of ballet and jazz. This style of dance focuses on the emotive quality of dance through music and takes its name from using a songs lyrics to interpret movement. In order to take this class the dancer must also be enrolled in Ballet.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop is an exciting and hard hitting class filled with the latest popular dance steps and music. It is taught and performed to hip hop music and other upbeat popular music.

*Tuition fees are for 8 weeks of classes.
Dancers in Primary Ballet must also enroll in at least one other class.
In order to be enrolled in Lyrical or Jazz, the dancer must also be enrolled in Ballet.
In order to be enrolled in Celtic, the dancer must also be enrolled in Tap.
Dress Code
Girl dancers will need a light purple leotard and pink dance tights.
Girls also need pink ballet shoes for ballet, black tap shoes for tap and celtic,
tan jazz shoes for jazz, lyrical sandals or barefoot for lyrical, tennis shoes for hip hop.
Boy dancers will need a plain white t-shirt (no logos) and black bottoms (shorts, leggings, sweatpants, etc.).
Boys also need black ballet shoes for ballet, black tap shoes for tap and celtic,
black jazz shoes for jazz, black ballet shoes or bare foot for lyrical, tennis shoes for hip hop.
